First official fertility visit

So I go Thursday for my first official fertility consult.

I'm lucky in the fact that my OB-GYN is also a fertiltiy specialist, so at least I'm not starting all over with a brand new Dr.

So ladies...what should I know, Ask, think about?

We already know I have PCOS, didn't respond to Metformin, and have super irregular cycles.  I attempted charting temp and CM, but both were classic PCOS...all over the place...

So lay it on me....any advice??

Did you try regular Metformin or the XR. If you haven't tried the XR, do it! Regular Met did nothing for me, and after 6 months on the XR, I lost a ton of weight and felt like a whole new person.

I have tried both, with no luck..

I may be the only person in history to GAIN weight on Metformin...lol

I assume you did try and not respond to clomid as well?

Not tried Clomid yet, I am guessing that will be the first step after this appointment

Good luck with clomid, if that's your prescription!
Keep tracking basal temperature on clomid, and doing ovulation test strips (many can be purchased for cheap on amazon), my ovulation happened on day 21-22 on first try of clomid, the doc was ready to give me provera to cause the bleed and restart the cycle, but I insisted on having several U/S during the cycle, for cash, and there were signs of ovulation three weeks into the cycle, which was confirmed later by a progesterone blood test.

I don't know what testing you have and haven't done for fertility -theres a list of blood work to do that can help your dr. better understand your ovarian health - plus your hubs needs a semen analysis to make sure there are no issues - then dr. might recommend having your reproductive anatomy examined through a process called HSG (if your health benefits cover it I recommend skipping the HSG and having the saline - sonohystiogram- ultrasound done instead ... It's less painfull, easier, and better picture quality).

After all your info is back you can better 'game plan' with your dr. on fertility assistance options- you don't want to waste months of time energy and money doing something treatment wise that would have little to no effect in helping you.

best of luck.... Done it all so feel free to ask any questions.

thanks to Priest babaka for his pregnancy spell that help
i am so so excited to share this testimony with everyone. i never really believed in spell casting nor magic whatsoever. i was so ignorant of the fact that one can really get pregnant by any means of spell casting. i am from Philippines, i am happily married with a new born baby(boy). i am 34 years old. i got married to my husband 7yrs ago and since then we have been battling with a problem of getting an issue. I was so frustrated as my husband threatened me of getting a new wife and his family members also threatened that i will be thrown out of the house. i looked for means everywhere but ought to no avail. to cut the long story short i contacted Priest Babaka the spell caster and today i am proud to say that i am a mother with the help of Priest Babaka. contact him now and get yours solved via his Email: babaka.wolf@gmail.com
